Batyshev A.I., Batyshev K.A. Formation of hot tears in steel castings depending on solidification conditions. Part III
In part III of the article, issues related to hot tearing in castings shaping in molds with a different heat-accumulating capacity: clay-bonded sand molds, bentonite-bonded sand molds, shell molds, chamotte and metallic molds are discussed. There are pointed out causes of hot tearing in carbon steel castings shaping in molds with a different heataccumulating capacity, and ways to prevent the hot tearing.

Malinov L.S. Effect of nitrogen on the structure and properties of Fe-Mn and Fe-Cr-Mn steels with metastable austenite
The data about of the nitrogen ambiguous effect on the structure and properties of the investigated steels are given. It is shown that it depends of their original chemical and phase composition. Prospective steel with nitrogen, which have increased mechanical and service properties, is proposed.

Marukovich E.I., Stetsenko V.Y. Nanostructural processes of melting and casting of aluminum bronze
It is shown that melting and molding of aluminum bronze are difficult physical and chemical processes. In them the major role is played by the centers of crystallization of dendrites of a a-phase, the a-phase nanocrystals dissolved and the adsorbed oxygen and hydrogen. The role of the modifying crystals of an intermetallid of ZrAl3 is reduced to reduction of concentration of the dissolved oxygen and hydrogen and an intensification of process of coagulation of nanocrystals of a a-phase in the centers of crystallization of dendrites of a a-phase.

Tyutyukov S.A., Andreev A.V., Gavrilyuk A.V., Baykova N.A., Belozertsev M.V. Modernization of the technology in the process of making gravity-die casting from hypoeutectic silumin
The technological aspects for ecologization of the technology in the process of making gravity-die casting from hypoeutectic silumin (hypoeutectic alloy aluminium silicon (7%) magnesium (0,3%) and alloy aluminium silicon (7,5%) magnesium (0,35%) titan (0,12%) are discussed in this article. Mechanical properties of alloys from experimental smeltings corresponded to requirements state standart 1583-93. The purpose of the present paper also is to analyse results of the method degazation and modification with using domestic mixture KSK for determination of astings tightness. The tightness was high. The cost of domestic material KSK was in 3 time less, than the cost of import materials Dgzl 200 Eutectal 201. In addition, the domestic materials does not contain chlorine and others harmful, toxic compounds. Domestic materials can replace imported. The working conditions of foundry workers are improving.

Muravyov Y.N., Druzhevskiy M.A. Modern materials and equipment for molds and cores making
The article describes the application of olivine sands for the preparation of molds and cores. Some other materials for mold making and modern equipment for the preparation of molds and cores by no-bake process are described. A methodological approach is provided for creating partnerships between the supplier and consumers of products for foundries.

Poddubny A.N., Taushev Y.V. Production of centrifugal-cast liners of drill pumps in the foundry of OOO OZNA-Oktyabrsky Engineering Works
Discussed are the existing liner designs used in drill pumps operated for gasand oil field developments. Discussed are technical solutions aimed at improving the performance characteristics of liners. Proposed is a new method of centrifugal casting of a bimetallic liner with high service properties. Proposed are material compositions for heat-insulating paints and fluxes, the chemical composition of the basic structural layer, as well as abrasive and corrosive, chromium-alloyed, metal layer. The basic process equipment is given.

Zarubin A.M., Zarubina O.A. Examining the operation of a vertical-slit gating system when chill-mold casting
The article considers effect of the web Gating system geometry and the casting temperature of the AK9 alloy on the formation of a temperature field in the working cavity of the mold during pouring of the aluminum alloys. The dimensions of the elements of this system that facilitate directed hardening of castings and reduce material costs are specified.

Marshirov V.V., Marshirova L.E. Algorithms and devices for temperature control in foundry technologies
The algorithm of operation of the universal device intended for registration of temperatures and for control of temperature regimes is described. The components with which the device can be created are described. The software developed by the authors is presented.

Piirainen V.Y., Kiriyenko I.P., Makhova T.O. The semantics of art casings in arts and crafts, architecture and design
The article presents a concept of comparing the systems of signs of arts and crafts, architecture and design including elements of parts, assemblies or constructions implemented in the art casting technique. Using the laws of composition, the authors are trying to comprehend the artistic language of cast metal. The comparison of homogeneous spatial compositions of metal in arts and crafts, architecture and design confirms the common tectonic origin expressed by the reflection on the mold surface of its constructive basis. Considering the semiotics of art casting in the context of arts and crafts, architecture and design, the authors point out its special role in forming the system of signs of the object as a whole.
