Khusnutdinov G.D., Zelenyi B.G. Application of magnesium nitride for cast-iron melting treatment
The process for obtaining of the reagent containing magnesium nitride and the nature of its interaction with cast-iron melting were analyzed in laboratory-like environments. The dissociation rate of nitride against the melting temperature was detected and the desulphurizing and modifying effect of the reagent was determined.
Key words: magnesium nitride, dissociation, castiron melting, contact surface, refining, modification.

Bykov Ju.A. Constructional nanomaterials
The attempt of a holistic systematic approach to the knowledge of structure and features for design nanomaterials properties formation has been presented in this work. The new understanding of structure at nano- and microlevels based on specific properties of nanomaterials is suggested. Six groups of nanoelements representing main properties of design nanomaterials have been designated based on structure and border type features. Some Technological aspects of their practical realizations have been considered.
Key words: nanotechnology, constructional nanomaterials, nanoelements

Krushenko G.G. The Role of Nanopowders of Chemical Compounds as Nucleus of Center when Forming the Structure of Aluminum Alloys
The supposition of the role of nanopowders of chemical compounds (nitrides, carbides, borides, oxides and oth.) as nucleus of center when forming the structure of aluminum alloys is stated.
Key words: nanopowders of chemical compounds, nucleus of center, structure, aluminum alloys

Kulbovsky I.K., Poddubny A.N., Manuev M.C., Bogdanov R.A. Dependence of Physical and Chemical Properties of Elements and Structure of their Alloys for the Electronic Structure their Atoms
Dependence is considered on properties of elements physical and chemical and structure of their alloys in complex their potentials and ionisation valency electrons. The methods are offered to forecasting the area of existence solid solution intermediate phases and chemical compounds of alloy depending on their electronic concentration.
Key words: value of potential of ionisation valency electronа an element, electronegativity

Borisov A.G. Effect of Heat-Time Treatment of Melt above Liquidus Temperature on Casting Structure
Linkage between time-temperature treatment above liquidus and structure of casting was studied. It was found that in the range of superheating 100…120°C no alterations of casting structure resulted from treatment. Assumptions of the reason of absence of influence were put forward.
Key words: aluminum, dendrite parameter, cooling rate, structure of casting.

Babkin V.G., Cherepanov A.I., Milyavko A.N. Development of a Casting Alloy for Low-Consumable Anodes of Aluminium Electrolyzers
Investigation revealed factors influencing the obtaining of special alloys with a predetermined chemical composition and cast anodes with high density, heat and corrosion resistance. In particular, it was found that an elevated carbon content in a Cu-Fe-Ni melt sharply lowers the alloy's heat resistance and contributes to a catastrophic destruction of the anode material during aluminium electrolysis. Testing anodes samples from an alloy composed of 53% Cu, 24% Fe, 23% Ni microalloyed with Ce by electric current of 100 A during Al electrolysis showed their stability and corrosion resistance, which makes that material promising as a basis for further development of inert anodes for of aluminium electrolysis.
Key words: aluminium electrolysis, inert anodes, hightemperature alloys, microalloying, casting technology, anode microstructure, corrosion resistance.

Grigoryev S.N. Technological Principles of Deposition of Wear-Resistant Nanocoatings in the Tool Production
A review of methods of improving wear resistance of edge tools by application of various coating methods and surface layer modification is presented.
Key words: high-speed machining, stability, edge tool, coatings.

Parkin A.A., Zhatkin S.S., Minakov Y.A. Optimizing the Technology of Powder Material Plasma-Jet Deposition
The work is dedicated to the determination of optimum conditions of plasma-jet deposition of powder materials Stellite 12AWS and Stellite 190W. Based on comprehensive investigations into the microstructure, properties, faultiness, and wear resistance tests of samples produced at plasma arc currents of 50… 110 A, optimum deposition conditions were determined ensuring high quality of deposited layers.
Key words: plasma-jet deposition, powder materials, plasma arc current, deposited layer, fusion zone.
