Andreev V.V., Nuraliev N.F. Mechanical properties of flake graphite iron in castings with variable wall thickness
The weight and size parameters of individually cast cylindrical samples of 20…120 mm in diameter were developed and the laws of changes in the mechanical properties of flake graphite iron grades such as SCh15, SCh25 and SCh35 were studied. It was shown that the strength of flake graphite iron decreases significantly (2.3–2.5 times) with increasing diameter of the samples.
Keywords: Flake graphite iron, structure, mechanical properties, individually cast and cast-on bars (samples)

Leushin I.O., Koshelev O.S., Leushina L.I., Nischenkov A.V. Application of dry ice the technology of manufacture of casting bars and forms from liquid-glass mixtures
An innovative technology for the manufacture of foundry cores and molds from liquid glass mixtures using solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) is considered. The theoretical prerequisites for obtaining a positive effect of the practical application of the proposed method for the production of foundry cores and molds are described in detail. The results of experimental work and testing of the proposed method in the current production.
Keywords: Technology, foundry core, mold, liquid glass mixture, dry ice.

Pivovarchyk А.А., Mikhaltsov A.M., Tishkova J.I. Development of the composition of a lubricant for injection molding of aluminum alloys
The article presents the results of studies on the development of the composition of a lubricant for injection molding of aluminum alloys based on polymethylsiloxane liquid grade PMS 100 with high sedimentation stability. It has been established that in order to obtain a concentrate of a water-based emulsion lubricant based on polymethylsiloxane liquid of the PMS 100 brand with high sedimentation stability, it is advisable to use fus – a by-product of the processing of vegetable oil. It is shown that the maximum value of sedimentation stability of the obtained lubricant composition is 231 days.
Key wordsInjection molding, lubricant, fus, soap stock, polymethylsiloxane liquid, sedimentation stability.

Livshits V.B., Mamedova I.Yu., Zyabneva O.A. Experience in production of Al-alloy dense castings under low-pressure
The possibility of producing castings from an AM5 aluminum alloy with high density and a clear surface with high dimensional accuracy by means of low-pressure casting was considered. An effect of pressure on the density and structure of the cap casting was studied.
Keywords: Alloy, pressure, density, casting, mold, structure.

Nuraliev F.A., Ivanov I.A. Digital technology in the foundry
Application areas of 3D printing of molds are considered. Examples of manufacturing of molds by 3D printing in the course of production of intricate-shaped parts for shipbuilding, oil and chemical engineering and other industries are given. A comparative assessment of the proposed technology with the conventional molding technology is given. The relevance of digitalization of production processes in engineering and metallurgical industries and for the mastering of digital technologies in the production of cast parts for energy and nuclear equipment is noted. Trends in the research and development were proposed as applied to this process to improve it and widespread its use in the domestic foundry.
Keywords: Casting, mold, 3D-printing of foundry molds, digital technology, resins and catalysts, molding, additive technologies.

Koltigin A.V., Bazhtyjv V.E., Zelovalnik Yu.V., Belov V.D., Yudin V.A. Research of adequacy a shrinkage micro porosity simulation when producing of castings from ML10 magnesium alloy
Using the casting simulation software ProCast and PolygonSoft, the possibility of predicting inter-dendritic shrinkage porosity during the production of pressure-retaining castings from the ML10 magnesium alloy was considered. The simulation results are compared with the distribution of inter-dendritic shrinkage porosity in magnesium castings of hydraulic drive bodies manufactured at PJSC Rubin by sand casting.
Keywords: Foundry, magnesium alloys, ML10, micro porosity, ProCast, PolygonSoft, simulation.

Tkachenko S.S., Emelyanov V.O., Martynov K.V. Production of monumental art castings by vacuum-film molding
The article highlights the problem of manufacturing art castings by vacuum-film molding. The molding process with the use of a pattern match is presented.
Keywords: Art casting, vacuum-film molding, pattern match, high relief, resource saving.

Zhatkin S.S., Yudin D.M., Kharchenko S.V., Nikitin K.V. Investigation of processes for elimination of cast defects art products by arc welding and soldering
The results of research on the elimination of defects in artistic castings made of bronze by means of electric arc welding and soldering in the center of foundry technologies of SamSTU are presented. The influence of the type and mode of the welding arc, as well as the type of solder, on the quality and structure of the welding and soldering zones of casting defects in artistic castings was experimentally investigated. Optimal welding and soldering modes were determined
Keywords: Bronze, welding, soldering, solder, electrodes, filler rods, welding equipment.
