Pirainen V.Yu. et al. The New in Designing a Manufacturing Process for a Side Frame Casting
The approach to the development of casting manufacturing processes based on an in-depth investigation of all stages of casting formation, from mold filling with metal to casting cooling in the mold and in air, as set forth in the article, is essential in the process engineering of complex casting production, especially from alloys prone to cracking.

More than 20 years ago, Cti developed a variant of lost foam technology that enabled numerous Members of the organisation to achieve sustainable success with the process.

Makarenko K.V. Identification of graphite inclusions in cast irons
The method of identification of graphite inclusions in cast irons on a basis the fractal analysis of images. Except the form of inclusions the method allows to define their quantity, distribution and the sizes. Results of a method can be used for definition of interrelation of structure and properties cast irons.

Martyushev N.V., Melnikov A.G., Egorov Yu.P. Influence of protective - separating coating of a casting form with nano-powder of oxide of zirconium on formation of gas imperfections in bronze castings
In the article data about application nano-powder on a structure of coatings of the form are submitted at a casting of lead-tin bronzes. Influence of a structure of used protective - separating coating of a foundry core on a surface smoothness was probeed. Was compared action of coatings of a following composition: anti-burning-in coating (a blend of a low dispersible powder of chromium oxide with calcinated vegetable oil); anti-burning-in material ASPF-2/RgU (on the basis a low dispersible powder of graphite and the calcinated vegetable oil); the patent № 2297300 (a blend of a ultradispersible powder of dioxide of zirconium with industrial oil. It is shown that application of coatings of a foundry core containing as a stuff ultradispersible powders of oxides of metals with low heat conduction allows in to lower much a roughness and to remove gas porosity on a surface of castings from lead-tin bronzes.

I.I. Yurkov et al. How to Make the Nonferrous Alloy Casting Production Competitive under Current Conditions
The article contains recommendations on the modernization of nonferrous alloy casting production processes allowing to cut production costs, considerably reduce rejects and improve quality of cast products and, therefore, their competitiveness. The recommendations concern the replacement of furnaces and heating elements, use of high-quality and high-efficiency materials (for crucibles, fluxes, metal mold dressings, lubricants), as well as the modernization of die-casting machines.
