Panov A.G., Shaekhova I.F., Gurtovoy D.A. An effect of the isothermal holding on structure and microhardness of the compacted graphite iron quenched to the upper bainite
The article presents the results of the analysis of literature data and our own experimental data on the effect of holding time during austempering on the upper bainite of the compacted graphite iron. The main stages of austenite transformation are shown. Characteristics of microstructure at different time of austempering are presented. Features of microstructure and microhardness changes during austempering. It is shown that the microhardness measured by the Vickers method at a load of 50 g characterizes the hardness not of the individual structural components of the CGI matrix but the hardness of the matrix fragments representing micro ... nano composites, which, in particular, is the reason for the unusually high hardness of to 47 HRC of microstructure fragments visually observed with an optical microscope as austenite.
Keywords: Compacted graphite iron, austempering, structure, microhardness.

Isagulov A.Z., Kulikov V.Yu., Kvon Sv.S., Chsherbakova Y.P. Improvement of mechanical properties of “Nichard” class cast iron
«Nichard» class irons, which have high hardness and wear resistance, were studied. Hardness and wear resistance were determined using test specimens. The following iron composition was offered, %: C – 2.6...3.0; Si – 1.5...2.5; Mn – 0.6; Ni – 4.0...5.0; Cr – 3.0...5.0; Mo – 0.5; Ce – 0.1...0.15; Cu – 0.2; TiC – 0.5...1.0; S ≤ 0.05; P ≤ 0.09; Fe – base. It has martensite-carbide structure with a small number of nodular graphite.
Keywords: Alloyed iron, composition, structure, wear resistance, hardness, graphite, carbides.

Nikitin V.I., Biktimirov R.M., Nikitin K.V., Akishin S.A., Novikov A.P. Synthesis of the AK9ch alloy based on the use of deformed waste
The results of a study on the synthesis of silumin AK9ch based on the use of deformed waste Al and its alloys are presented. It is shown that the use of deformed waste makes it possible to refine the structure, increase the physical and mechanical properties and exclude primary charge metals from the composition of the charge.
Keywords: Silumin, deformed waste Al and alloy 3104, synthesis, microstructure, properties.

Efremov A.V., Panfilov E.V., Khakimov I.F., Kazbanov V.I., Takhauova Z.R., Korolev S.P. Application of AlSi7Cu0.4 alloy for cylinder head castings
It is proposed to use a new AlSi7Cu0.4 aluminum alloy instead of AK9ch alloy for manufacturing cylinder head castings in order to increase the strength and performance characteristics.
Keywords: Aluminum alloys, cylinder head, mechanical properties.

Ten E.B., Toirov O.T. Optimization of the gating system for casting of the side frame-type parts
It is fulfill the analysis of technological effectiveness the gating system (GS1), applied on the working plant during producing of casing “Side Frame” for railway wagons. It specialty is the presence of extended horizontal collector and liquid metal leading up to front parts of casting. The computer modeling showed that it this case the filling all mold by liquid metal are realized by way of front parts of casting. These factors contribute to forming on the castings the several parentage defects. With regard to stated it is develop the new design of gating system (GS2) with distributed liquid metal leading up with different sizes of gate sections, providing the synchronous collateral filling of all parts the mold cavities. In this case at all gates the liquid metal entered through ceramic foam filter, which set up on the junction of the collector and gate.
Keywords: Casting side frame, steel 20ÃË, mold and core, gating system, defects.

Vertsyukh S.S. Manufacturing technology of castings from titanium alloys for special equipment
The article is devoted to the problem of produced high-quality castings from titanium alloys in ceramic molds on based on domestic aqueous solution of silica in conditions of their high chemical activity. The results can being used by investment casting in cold ceramic molds at the temperature of pouring no more than 1750°C subject to average wall thickness no more than 12 mm.
Keywords: Titanium alloys, investment casting, silicone dioxide, castings.

Melnikov I.A. The quality of greensand molds based on the Seiatsu compaction technology and German automatic molding lines
The article provides information on the modern method of compaction of greensand molds using Seiatsu-process in comparison with other molding methods, which have significate limits in their properties. Examples of applications, advantages and actual samples of molds for difficult castings are described.
Keywords: Modernization of foundry production, Seiatsu-process, quality of greensand molds.

Doroshenko V.S. Design of rotary-conveyor lines and a method of high-speed casting into molds
The described designs of rotary-conveyor equipment serve as examples of the implementation of the innovative capabilities of high-performance casting processes, including lost foam casting. The concepts of high-speed casting into molds with the use of a tundish during the conveyor movement by analogy with the metal casting on a continuous casting machine, a rotor carrying end-to-end assembled dosing funnels, as well as a device for supplying gas to metal into the tundish under vacuum or with increased pressure to control metal consumption are described. The design of the slide gate and its role in the process of controlling the metal consumption on the rotary-conveyor line, as well as the further plans to create a new class of high-speed casting processes are considered.
Keywords: Casting, rotary-conveyor lines, module, casting conveyor, castings, lost foam casting.

Tkachenko S.S., Emelyanov V.O., Martynov K.V. Production of art castings
The article describes the production of art castings by investment casting using combined ceramic molds. The features of calcination, pouring and separation of the gating and feeding system under conditions of small-scale production are considered.
Keywords: Art casting, investment casting, ethyl silicate, ceramic mold, strength.
