Golod V.M., Tsvetkov A.S., Teplukhina I.V., Le C.D. Analysis and prediction the occurrence of dendritic inhomogeneity during crystallization of steel castings
An important task for computer analysis of interconnected foundry processes is the accumulation of the dendritic structure data array, as well as an active search for mathematical models to generalize the experimental material in order to form an apparatus describing a heterogeneous meso-scale structure. In this paper the results of microstructure measurement of steel castings of various compositions are used. The matching of experimental data of different alloying indicates the reliability of the lognormal distribution model for the analysis and prediction of casting processes, in particular, the dendritic inhomogeneity, arising during the crystallization of steel.

Golod V.M., Dobosh L.Yu. Computer modeling and system diagnostics of dendrite structure of multicomponent aluminum alloys
The developed mathematical model for predicting the dendritic structure of multicomponent aluminum alloys is considered. The main stages of system analysis in the computer diagnostics of non-equilibrium crystallization are described, taking into account the joint use of the apparatus of computational thermodynamics. The evolution of the dendritic structure and the main parameters of non-equilibrium crystallization of aluminum alloys with a change in their composition, heat removal conditions (solidification duration) and, accordingly, the intensity of diffusion processes during the redistribution of components between phases is investigated. The structural heterogeneity of the secondary dendrite arm spacing is demonstrated and its generalized quantitative characteristic for aluminum alloys is given.

Glebov S.M., Piirainen V.Yu. Low-temperature molding today and tomorrow
The article describes a method for making ceramic products by casting of slurries into cooled metal molds. A historical analysis of the development and application of the low-temperature molding is presented. Further steps for scientific research of the mechanisms of water hardening in various suspensions have been determined in order to expand the field of application of this method.

The article describes the technology of vacuum film molding of artistic castings by the manufacture of rods against a pattern and in the mold. A method to mold a casting of an arbitrary shape is considered.
