Gushchin N.S., Korotchenko A.Y., Nuraliyev N.F. Production of submersible centrifugal pump work members from austenitic nodular iron
Discussed is the technology of making cast impellers and guide vanes from flake graphite austenitic iron for submersible centrifugal pumps used in oil production. Proposed is the technology of making those castings from high-strength spheroidal graphite austenitic iron. Discussed are several methods of producing high-strength austenitic iron, established have been noticeable advantages of the MDS process. As a result of comparative studies there has been shown the prospectivity of using spheroidal graphite austenitic iron in the production of work members for submersible centrifugal pumps to enhance their operational reliability.

Represented are the data on the implementation of the compound-stage operation of stress-relieving air-hardening accomplished within one cycle of solid moulding heat treatment on the «Bezhitskaya Stal» enterprise. The suggested technology allows improving the steel structure, enhancing mechanical characteristics and cold resistance of the mouldings.

Vasenin V.I., Bogomyagkov A.V. Investigation of the work of the Bernoulli equation in multiple-gate runner system
It is shown that the Bernoulli equation is suitable for calculating the gating system with variable flow rate (mass), which varies for many times at the collector as flux distribution to gates. For the calculation the gating system breaks on two half-ring. The decision is the method of successive approximations given the difference the loss head in the halfring before the point fusion. By the fusion streams takes place the fall of the head in collector in comparison with heads before the fusion (haves the fall in 4 one).

Zarubin A.M., Zarubina O.A. Controlling the flow rate of melt in the mold when chill mold casting of aluminum alloys
The article considers effect of the Gating system geometry on the flow pattern of the melt filling the channels of the mold for casting the permanent mold casting of aluminum alloys. It is shown the possibility of control speed limit of filling the cavity molds when using the bottom and web Gating system by the use of special additional element of this system.

Kovtunov A.I., Ostryanko A.M. Pproperties of heat-resistant chill castings obtained by aluminizing nickel-plated steel
Investigations of the formation processes of coatings based on nickel aluminides by liquidphase aluminizing of steel with a nickel coating are carried out. Tests for erosion resistance, heat resistance and heat resistance of aluminum-nickel coatings have been carried out.

Livshits V.B., Bezpalko V.I. Durability of press mold inserts made by casting with crystallization under pressure
Discussed are the issues of durability of shaping press mold die inserts for casting copper-based,in particular БрКЗЦ9 bronze alloys, using the method of casting with crystallization under pressure. Set forth is the technology of making press mold inserts from 4Х5В2ФСsteel by the method of casting with crystallization under pressure, with subsequent heat treatment. It was established that cast inserts made by said method can be efficiently used instead of forged ones.

Volnov I.N., Evseev S.Yu. The main directions of strategic development of the caster in the conditions of the fifth technological wave
The article examines the role of foundry in present and near future. Discusses the periodization of the foundry from the perspective of great Kondratieff cycles, and technological waves. Special attention is given to 5- and 6-technological waves. The potential of the foundry to remain competitive and attractive to investment in these structures shows. The conditions of development of foundry as a subject of market activities in the global market.

Melnikov I.A. Automated Laempe core-making lines in China for cast engine blocks production
The article deals with the experience of the modern Laempe core-making equipment for Chinese foundries as exemplified by the Teksid plant that produces particularly complex castings like the engine block. The advanced foundries of China prefer German core-making and molding equipment. The efficiency of the plant due to application of most advanced molding and core-making technologies is shown.
